Salome John

Chief of Staff | Associate Director & Head of Arunodaya Program

Salome John is a passionate advocate for social responsibility and community development, with a strong track record of leadership across education, livelihood, child rights, sustainable development, and community-building initiatives. She believes that every individual has untapped potential and deserves the opportunity to flourish. Her dual Master’s degrees in Social Work and Sociology - where she was honored with a Gold Medal presented by the Hon’ble Vice President of India - reflect both her academic excellence and her deep commitment to empowering others.


In her current role as Chief of Staff and Associate Director, Salome leads with clarity of purpose and a vision for creating lasting, measurable impact. She oversees two flagship initiatives - the Arunodaya (Sunrise) for Children with Blindness Program and Nurturing Youth Leadership & Internships - which focus on enabling children with blindness and youth to access inclusive, high-quality education and leadership opportunities.


A lifelong learner, writer, and cultural explorer, Salome thrives on collaboration and innovation, bringing a global outlook to her work. Beyond her professional pursuits, she draws inspiration from creative expression, with a love for music, dancehall, and décor that reflects her vibrant and explorative spirit.
